University of Guelph (Computer Science and Engineering)

Built in 1914, the Reynolds building is over 100 years old. METTKO was responsible for the renewal and upgrade to the existing space in the Reynolds Building, providing access to additional research and collaborative space for Computer Science and Engineering students and faculty at the University of Guelph. Students and faculty will have access to collaboration spaces that promote the interdisciplinary nature of their research and training and ensure that we are educating high demand graduates in the ICT and
STEM sector.

The comprehensive approach to facility system upgrades and enhancements included in the project support Canada’s climate change and sustainability goals. Improvements were realized in the indoor environment of the Reynolds Building, providing consistent lighting levels, enhanced temperature control and reduced air infiltration. Additionally, these upgrades and enhancements provide significant savings in utility costs through higher energy efficiency gains by utilizing newer and high efficiency equipment and controls.
