Fire Station No.1 features an apparatus bay with four double-depth drive-through bays complete with carbon dioxide extraction system, in-floor heating, a training tower, a mezzanine with storage, dormitory rooms, a kitchen, a fitness room, Training/Emergency Operations Centre, and administration offices. The site consists of soft and hard landscaping, providing parking for 43 cars.

The building has been designed to meet Post-Disaster requirements. The structure is a combination of structural steel and load-bearing masonry with an EIFS and brick veneer façade.
